Group BF74242, Chassis electrical and pneumatic installation in Gothenburg, is responsible of design of installation and components for Chassis electrical (signal and High voltage) brake systems, air suspension systems and extra equipment. The development includes design, Planning, documentation, validation and verification of pneumatic installation. Our work is carried out in all stages of product development: complete vehicle projects, product maintenance and component projects. The work is performed in close co-operation in a multi-cultural environment with both internal and external contacts such as our different development sites around the world and suppliers.

Task and responsibilities:
Work as an Senior/ ETL Engineer with responsibility for Component and QJ work as well as new development in Projects related to Electrical installations.
Main design work tool are KOLA (Volvos main documentation system).
This task will also include other data systems and documentations for reporting etc. towards Projects as ETL, Reporting for a cross functional team including Purchasing, production, FVV, aftermarket etc. You will also lead and delegate work to Consultant work packages and our other sites, mainly delegation to our site in Bangalore, India.

Qualifications:
You should have an engineering degree and several years of working experience as an engineer.
We believe you have specific experience of several years of design in CAD and installation in Pro/E.

Experience from KOLA DVP and working as ETL or TEAM LEADER and/or Volvo AB are also beneficial skills for this task.

You should have a structured way of working and experience of working in project teams. It is also beneficial if you have experience of working with heavy duty vehicles. You must have good communication skills in English, both spoken and in writing.

Working as an Engineer with the pneumatic system means working together with many other people with different technical skills and cultures and you therefore need to be open minded and sociable with energy, passion and respect for the individuals.
You shall be able to manage multi tasks, take own initiatives, be committed to finalize the tasks, be flexible in planning and have a strong driving for improvements.
